  • Old Games are Back In

I had a little time to myself today (I know it was Mothers Day). Sharon had some quiet time to work on cake decorating and Michael was asleep, so I took it upon myself to see if I could get TIE Fighter (Win95 DOS based game) working on my current computer. With a bit of research and trial and error, I'm happy to say I did finally mange to play a VERY old game for about fifteen minutes, sound effects, music, and all, with my joystick I might add. Good day. :)

  • What to say

"Places so close will take you so far." -Beloved

So I've just about finished another week. I'm taking Friday off so Sharon and I can travel. Her best friend from college is getting married and it's a bit of trek. Soon coming up is our third wedding anniversary on the tail end of April (April 29th - yes I do remember the date! :^) They've gone by really quickly, yet I'm amazed at what's come about since then.

Maybe this a really short entry - oh well. Can't say I didn't try making a few notes to look back on years from now.

  • Dancing on a Cloud

"I think I'm ready to go." -My Epic

Even as I type, I'm drifting to the deep end of the horizon, thinking I'm already asleep. I'm in training this week, studying SharePoint technologies to expand my ability to support that administrative portion where I work. I enjoyed the first day and while I felt like much of what was covered I learned on my own, I did find a few ideas and concepts by the end that I hadn't discovered and will be helpful. I've read the course curriculim and I'm looking forward to the other exercizes. It's a virtual course, so I'm working it from home and plugged into a "classroom" on the internet. The course is taught by a professional programmer, who has a system for live chat, and or talk over IP which is really cool. Also, we have a remote lab environment to which we were given accounts to test configure items convered. So for all practical purposes, it is a classroom environment (To which I can and do attend in my PJs). Anyways, like I said I'm pretty tired.
